Who we are....
Put simply, we’re a group of like-minded individuals who enjoy scale modelling.
Our membership covers a wide range of interests and skills, including military modelling, figure painting and collecting, scratch building, sculpting, etc.
Some of our members have enjoyed success at many of the local and national competitions and all are more than happy to discuss their techniques with others.
Don’t however, let this put you off, we’re not a bunch of “rivet counters”. We pride ourselves on offering a warm and informal reception to anyone interested in the hobby regardless of their level of skill - novice or old master - all are welcome.
Although, as our name suggests, we are primarily a military modelling club, some of our members enjoy many other aspects of our hobby, such as Sci-fi and fantasy modelling for example.
Basically, if you make models you’ll feel at home at our club.
We meet on the third Tuesday of every month, (except for December, when it’s usually the second Tuesday) at the Working Mans Club, Lower Street, Great Doddington, Northamptonshire. Meetings usually start at around 7:30pm.
We try to arrange guest speakers for many of the meetings. In the past we’ve been honoured to welcome WWII veterans, re-enactment society members, ex-military personnel from many different eras and conflicts, as well as various presentations from some of our own members.
